We seek to recruit a suitably qualified candidate for the position Group Head, Corporate Banking (Infrastructure & Utilities) in one of the foremost commercial banks in Nigeria.

The successful candidate will assist in providing strategic leadership and direction to the Corporate Banking (Infrastructure & Utilities) group towards the realization of agreed objectives and goals.

He/she will also champion the development of business in relevant sectors by coordinating the development of attractive and profitable products to address the needs of the sector.

Job Specific responsibilities include:

· Designing, developing and implementing business plans and market penetration strategies

· Identifying and developing new business opportunities and maintaining existing customer relationships proactively in the infrastructure and utilities sector of the economy

· Coordinating the development of the divisions operational plans inline with the overall business plan of the Bank.

· Staying in tune with activities of competitors with a view to understand and take advantage of weaknesses and leverage points.

· Ensuring the development of the Bank’s products to meet the requirements of the target market and in line with the overall lending strategy.

· Generating revenue through assets and liabilities creation in the sector

· Rendering regular report on the Group’s performance

· Regularly monitoring and assessing the Group’s general performance



Job Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

· A good first degree in any discipline from a reputable tertiary institution. Possession of an MBA or any other higher degree will be an advantage

· Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ cognate experience, five (5) of which should have been spent in a senior management position

· Extensive knowledge of products prevalent in the corporate banking segment of commercial banks

· Experience in corporate banking, especially in project finance and deal structuring in infrastructure and utilities projects such as roads, power plants, etc.

· A goal getter and result oriented with strong marketing and selling skills
