Job Description

Mission: Lead and manage the Business channel for HP. Be accountable for financial goals (top-line and Attach) channel strategy implementation and structure, for the 3 business groups (IPG, PSG, TSG). The position is based in Lagos –Nigeria.

Top line/ bottom line Management:
Definition of quota (shipments and sellout) by partner at a country level.
Drive HP resources Specialization and Manage the WOS against target
Drive Attach to improve the contribution margin by category by optimizing product mix by business plus a better focus on T+C’s execution.
Lead key business unit initiatives to drive top-line
Channel strategy:.
Execute strategy for Business to Business Partners, both broad-liners and specialty partners.
Ensure we have a strong value added partner program to support Corp/Enterprise sales.
Deploy & Optimize the Preferred partner Program to suit the market requirement and specificity.
People management:.
Manages internal processes in support of sales representatives and selling activities
Responsible for recruiting, training, and development of Partner Sales
Representatives
Improve the VOW

Job Description

The Technical Sales Rep (TSR) is the presales consultant dedictaed to the Territory Sales Inside Sales team, its' customers as well as the engaged partners. He/she will support the sales process from a technical perspective in terms of product choice, solution design, technical briefings/ discussions and optimization of the offered configuration etc.

Job Responsibilities
presales technical consulting input into end-to-end sales cycle working 'side-by-side' with ISRs on entire ESS portfolio
drive technical discussion with customer and partner to define solution to offer
Engage throughout sales cycle with internal HP resources as appropriate, including ISR's, wider HP ESS presales technical community, Field Sales Specialists and externally with end-customer and channel partners involved in specific opportunities
Shared Revenue/Shipment responsibility of ESS portfolio to defined accounts based on sum of individual ISR quota the TSR is aligned to individual
Detailed Tasks

ad-hoc/ Real-time involvement in customer calls to support ISR's including live ISR-to customer concalls to provide specialist ESS portfolio technical / product specification input based on customer requirements. This will include having to understand complex Enterprise infrastructure, networking, application and database environments
Detailed input into selection of channel partners to assign to customer opportunities, including assessing partner certification and ESS portfolio capability against customer technical and solution requirement, and then supporting ISR to brief channel partner on detailed customer requirements and required channel partner action
Detailed input into conf8g/ quote process, working closely with ISR and appropriate back-office groups, including Bucharest, and verifying technical and quote configuration before this is communicated to customer (including working jointly with channel partner on technical configuration and solution)
Competitive optimization of configurations to avoid over-sizing of offered solution and ensure price-competitiveness
Supporting customer information and specialist collateral requirements, including relevant product documentation / white papers and URL links tailored specifically to customer requirements. This will include in-depth background investigation and research
Working with ISR or independently on opportunity follow-up with end-customer or channel partner to drive presales actions required to close deal
Leveraging internal HP presales technical resources (office based, field) and Sales Specialists to drive required response to customers and channel partners throughout sales cycle. This will include arranging presales technical briefings using appropriate HP (including HP 'proof-of concept' facilities) and channel partner facilities

Job Qualifications :
bachelor degree (or above) in the field of computer science, business information systems or the like or 5+yrs corresponding work experience in datacenter space or partner presales
exposure to decision makers to and proven ability to present and justify a case
ability to manage time and priorities based on customer focused objectives.
proven technology knowledge of IT concepts, data bases and at least one of infrastructure solutions, server management, data backup & recovery or network technology
team player, ability to collaborate effectively in an international, multi-cultural environment
