Job Vacancy 1: Facilities Engineer
Job Role:

Optimize surface production facility conceptual design and conclude parameters required for preliminary engineering design.
Provide technical support to preliminary and final engineering designs of upstream onshore facilities including flowstations and flowlines to accommodate all user needs.
Manage and coordinate multidiscipline activities to ensure projects are executed in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner
Responsible and accountable for engineering/design of facilities for assigned projects from initiation through execution to commissioning phase.
Plan, direct, supervise and control the execution of technical, fiscal and administrative functions on projects.
Facilitate synergy between various departments & end users to minimize facilities capital & operating costs and to minimize the facilities environmental impact.
Resolves any discrepancies with contractors.
Plans, directs, and coordinates activities concerned with design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery within the plant.
Establishes standards and policies for environmental pollution control, installation, modification, quality control, testing, operating procedure, inspection, and maintenances of equipment according to engineering principles and safety regulations.
Prepares authorization for expenditures and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
Directs maintenance of plant buildings and coordinates requirements for new designs, surveys, and maintenance schedules for equipment and machinery.
Assess the systems and performance on existing facilities, and recommend modifications / new techniques to improve efficiency and increase production.
Liaise with Joint Venture partners to ensure compliance to financial, technical and other regulatory requirements including local content.


Job Required Experience:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years experience in the oil and gas industry practicing, with thorough knowledge in topside facilities design, development and operations.

Qualifications for Job:

A Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of second class lower from a reputable university.

Job vacancy 2: Petrophycist
Job Functions:

To manage/ provide support for the fields, with an emphasis on managing petrophysical/Formation Evaluation data and delivering a high quality Petrophysical input during all stages of field life.

To work in cross-discipline teams and activities may include participation in project reviews and petrophysical data acquisition.


The candidate will be responsible for:

Open and Cased Hole Log interpretation and Log evaluation, including quick-look log interpretation.
Initiate/plan/execute formation coring and core analyses programme in Pan Ocean
Initiate/plan/execute advanced petrophysical/formation evaluation studies, for other teams in the company.
Co-ordinate well logging and perforating operations carried out by contractors;
Provide input to proposals, and monitor logging during operations;
Petroleum Field reviews or reservoir studies, including the interpretation or incorporation of petrophysical data such as logs cores and formation samples.
Electric wireline operation, including log data acquisition planning.
Supervision and monitoring of well-site logging/coring operations
The management of formation evaluation contracts such as coring and core analyses, wireline logging or MWD,FEWD and other related log activities.
HSE auditing of logging contractor operations or facilities.
Making Petrophysical contributions to field and reservoir development plans.
Identifying opportunities for development, adding value through the innovative application of new technologies,
Advising and coaching less experienced petrophysics staff


Job Requirements:

Minimum qualification is a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or Geosciences, and ideally a Masters in a related technical discipline will be an advantage.
Minimum 8 years’ relevant working experience, candidate must have strong background in Petrophysical operations and formation evaluation work;
A high level of competency is expected in contributions to the development of reservoir models that are based on fully integrated geological, geophysical and Petroleum engineering data;
Good communication skills and strong physical intuition, as well as the willingness to grow technically and be part of a multi-disciplinary team;
Strong business focus and commitment to safety and customer interaction skills are crucial as you’ll be required to work closely with joint-venture partners, contractors and professionals from other disciplines/teams; knowledge in economic evaluation is an advantage;
Extensive knowledge of proprietary petrophysical tools/ software and an understanding of petrophysical data management are essential.
Should be responsible for ensuring that the financial aspect of the job is executed according to the plan
Ability to QC and sign off on all wireline logging jobs

    Onwuahoyi Zephanus is a good team player who worked for Shell western division Nigeria as a consultant Reservoir Engineer for more than ten (10) years. He rendered consultancy services on welltest programming, Design and analysis as well as field supervision, data acquisition, Well surveillance and other reservoir engineering services. He analyzed more than 500 welltest surveys on oil wells, both vertical and horizontal wells. He also analyzed about three multi-rate flow-after-flow surveys on gas wells.

    -Carrying out quality check (QC) on electronic gauges prior to accepting bottom hole pressure (BHP) surveys using K-plot & Saphire ( Cappa Engineering Software) and Pansystem Software (Edinburgh Petroleum Services software).
    -Advise on acceptability/rejection of data acquired with the gauges used to run the survey.
    - Advise on the degree of integrity of gauges used during BHP surveys based on quality check results.
    -Determination of fluids distribution in the reservoir through static gradient plot.

    GAS WELLTEST ANALYSIS (MULTIRATE TEST ANALYSIS)
    -Multirate oil welltest analysis.
    -Multirate gas welltest analsis to determine well Deliverability, Reservoir characteristics and Heterogeneities. Skin and Non Darcy Skin effects, Absolute Open Flow Potentials. I analysed three gas wells for Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria. The wells are; Bonny 26T , Utorogu 27T and 31T.

    SUPERVISION JOBS.
    -Safety awareness Co-ordination
    -Supervision of Bottom Hole Pressure survey operations in the field.
    -Supervision of Re-Entry and DST operation of Moni Pulo Limited, Offshore Rig, Cross River Well -1 Gas Discovery Well of OML114 Offshore Nigeria. 7 DSTs and 7 Flow-After-Flow Multi-rate tests were carried out in the Rig. I also supervised the Run In Hole (RIH) of Down-Hole-Shut-in Tool (DHST) with electronic transducer for Bottom Hole Data Acquisition. Setting of perforation gun and subsequently perforation of production intervals. I supervised setting of packer and also cementing to isolate the first interval from co-mingling with the test zone. Also I supervised collection of gas and condensate samples for Gas Chromatographic Analysis and Re-Combination.

    RESERVE UPDATE
    -I have done reserve update by using Shell probabilistic Reserve Calculation software (proteus) to calculate oil reserves in the reservoir (Reservoir Engineering Software). Calculation of Cumulative Bulk Volume of a reservoir by using Shell CBV matic (Reservoir engineering software).
    DECLINE CURVE ANALYSIS (DCA) using OFM
    Work done includes carrying out decline curve analysis using Oil Field Manager (OFM) software.

    PRODUCTION PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS (Using PROSPER software)
    Work done includes generation of Inflow Performance Relationship (IPR) plots to evaluate the Absolute Open Flow Potential (AOF). Generation of Vertical Lift Performance (VLP) plots and also VLP/IPR curves to obtain optimum performance values.

    TRAINING
    -Training of personnel on “General BHP Principles” & use of welltest analysis softwares
