DFID Nigeria Jobs: Accounts Officer


SuNMaP is DFID-funded five year programme to support the National Malaria Control Programme. The programme has been in operation for two years and is now looking to fill the following position across its operating locations: Accounts Officer, Awka, Kano & Lagos

The job holder will be responsible for providing general accounting services to cover one or two states. S/he will maintain proper accounting records of all transactions; assist the Admin officer in preparing monthly financial forecasts and reports.
» S/he will monitor advances, support the maintenance of assets register and maintain cordial relationship with official bankers.

Qualifications:
» A University degree in Accounting or Business Administration with a minimum of 3 years working experience is required.
» S/he must have a strong hands-on knowledge of the use of accounting software packages, with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
» Prior experience in a donor funding environment will be an added advantage.

Remuneration and Terms of Appointment:
» The appointment term will be a period of 3 years for each position, with an initial 6 months probationary period.
» The programme offers very competitive salary packages. Local terms and conditions will apply.
