Senior Clinical Expert Jobs in Nigeria 2010

SuNMaP is DFID-funded five year programme to support the National Malaria Control Programme. The programme has been in operation for two years and is now looking to fill the following position across its operating locations: Senior Clinical Expert, Abuja

This position will assist the Public Health Specialist in providing technical support to malaria control efforts with focus on the clinical aspects of preventive and curative interventions.
» S/he will also provide technical advisory support to the State teams on.
» issues relating to good clinical practice on malaria case management.
» The job holder will prepare work-plans and budget on programme activities as regards preventive and curative components of malaria control at the National and State levels.

Qualifications:
» A Health professional with a degree in medicine and a minimum of ten years in clinical practice.
» S/he must have a hands-on experience in management of tropical diseases with focus on malaria in any country within the tropics.
» An extensive knowledge of practices of the Nigerian Public sector is required with proven experience in training of health workers both at the public and private sectors.
» Additional skills required include; presentation, writing and excellent computer skills

Remuneration and Terms of Appointment:
» The appointment term will be a period of 3 years for each position, with an initial 6 months probationary period.
