The Role: Fleet Manager The successful candidate will be required to:

· Drive the sustenance of an efficient and workable car maintenance policy for the local OU which is in line with best practice.


· Strengthen financial discipline and cost reduction through the promotion of robust internal controls, risk management and compliance of the fleet system.

· Manage the activities of the selected fleet management company by the provision of a world-class schedule of work.

· Plan, design and execute brilliant fleet management operations and enhance the company’s fleet and drive the efficient and effective management of the fleet by established world class standards.

· Manage and negotiate favourable financial terms and conditions with the selected automobile and spare parts companies.

· Coordinate the establishment of accurate spares inventory for locally maintained items.

· Advise management on the continuous improvement process for the fleet system.· Manage the tracking system and liaise with the tracking company on this.

· Develop and improve daily support and guidance to drivers of the pool cars and sustain effective communication in the department

· Ensure effective training, coaching, management, planning and organizing of the drivers and provide periodic car maintenance trainings and workshops.

· Set out guidelines and operate an efficient fuel management system.

· Manage team and individual performance through regular reviews, monitoring objectives and ensuring development needs are identified and actioned.

The Person: The right candidate must :

Possess a University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Have an MBA (Strategic Planning).
Be a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM-Chartered).
Have Computer expertise especially in MS Word MS Excel and PowerPoint.
Have between 9-12 years work experience with 5 years at a senior level in fleet management.
