Nigerian Breweries Plc Recruits for Media Manager

Nigerian Breweries Plc, the pioneer and largest brewing company in Nigeria, was incorporated in 1946 and recorded a landmark when the first bottle of STAR Lager beer rolled off the bottling lines in its Lagos Brewery in June 1949.

This was followed by Aba Brewery which was commissioned in 1957, Kaduna Brewery in 1963 and Ibadan Brewery in 1982. In September 1993, the company acquired its fifth brewery in Enugu while in October 2003, a sixth brewery, sited at Ama in Enugu state was commissioned.

Job Description

Job Requirements
Candidates must possess:  WASC/SSCE/GCE with at least credits in five subjects including Mathematics and English Language.  HND (Upper Credit) or B.Sc (2nd Class Lower Division) only from reputable tertiary institution in any of the following disciplines: o Business Administration ○ Computer Science o Industrial Chemistry ○ Accounting o Banking & Finance ○ Computer Engineering o Industrial Mathematics ○ Insurance o Chemistry ○ Marketing o Economics ○ Physics o Mathematics ○ Management  Must not be more than 28years old on their next birthday.  Evidence of discharge from the NYSC scheme (i.e. NYSC discharge certificate).  Willingness to work in any part of Nigeria. Nigerian Breweries Plc, the foremost brewing company in Nigerian with headquarters in Lagos and operations in Lagos, Aba, Kaduna, Ibadan and Enugu, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the post of Legal Affairs Manager.



THE JOB (REF: CCDM/16/09/08)
 Proffering professional and specialist legal advice and opinion on all matters affecting the Company’s operations and interpreting related government legislations.
 Drafting Deeds, Agreements and other legal documents.
 Co-ordinating all court cases involving the Company.
 Liaising with and co-ordinating all the activities of the Company’s retained legal outfits throughout the country.
 Touring all Company locations periodically for on-the-spot assessment of Company legal and property matters and rendering suitable assistance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
The preferred person for the job should not be older than 35 years of age as at December 31, 2008 and must possess the following:
 WASC/SSCE/GCE with at least credits in five subjects including English Language and Mathematics.

 Good honours degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognised University with a minimum grade of Second Class Lower Division.

 Must have been called to the Nigerian Bar with a minimum grade of Second Class Lower Division.

 Must have between 5 – 8 years post-call experience in litigation and corporate law.

 Must be conversant with general commercial practice and relevant laws relating to intellectual properties.

 Must be at ease with labour Laws and the related Factories Act, Workmen’s Compensation Act, Customs & Excise Act amongst others.

 Membership of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

 Evidence of discharge from the NYSC scheme (that is NYSC discharge certificate).

 Ability to work with basic computer applications (such as Microsoft Word, Excel & Powerpoint).
