Business Development Manager at CA Global Africa
CA Global Africa recruitment is currently looking for a Business Development Manager for Nigeria, with a large Financial company in Africa.
The purpose of this position is to establish, maintain and grow a profitable investment portfolio. The
position reports to a Country Director.
The ideal candidate should have a degree with majors in Accounting and Financial Management /
Auditing.
The candidate should also have the following experience and skills:
• Generalist financial background with specific accounting / auditing experience
• Working in the SME-market
• Exposure to a range of financial instruments ranging from debt to equity in the SME market
• Structuring appropriate finance in the SME market
• Using financial models & interpreting financial statements
• Ongoing assistance and monitoring of SME’s to develop and implement business plans in a variety of business sectors through all its maturity stages
• Marketing financial products
• Liaising with people at different levels, including colleagues, SME-owners and their suppliers, contractors and clients, as well as with financiers and investment committees
• Building networks and establishing relationships
• Report and proposal writing (SME range)
• Growing portfolios & networks
• Planning and conducting due diligence across full SME range
• Working with different people and prioritizing one’s own activities
The incumbent in this position will be required to produce the following outputs according to specific
standards:
• Business development assistance (This is the core output of the position)
• Potential clients that are in the process to prepare for submission for funding
• Investees (clients that have already been invested in)
• Disbursements
• Portfolio performance
• Due diligence
• Cost efficiency
• Administration
A Nigerian national is preferred.
