The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited

Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) is the pioneer and leader of the petroleum industry in Nigeria. It has the largest acreage in the country from which it produces some 43 per cent of the nation’s oil. The company’s operations are concentrated in the Niger Delta and adjoining shallow offshore areas where it operates in an oil mining lease area of around 31,000 square kilometers.
SPDC is currently involved in a multi-million dollar oil and gas project in the Niger Delta region with the objective of increasing production to help meet the world’s growing demand for energy.

Shell is currently looking to recruit a General Practice Physician for its Port Harcourt Office.

Shell Nigeria (SNEPCO)recruits for Speech Writers

SNEPCO is currently looking to recruit two Speech Writers in our Lagos office

Responsibilities

Job Purpose:
To help Shell Nigeria leaders develop and tell a compelling company story to a broad and global audience, and help them ensure widespread understanding of Shell’s strategy, strengths and objectives, internally and externally. Also, to assist other communicators in Shell to tell stories from a Group perspective as well as contribute to maintaining worldwide consistency in Shell messaging

Principal Accountabilities:
Research, write, edit and publicise speeches and talking points for senior leadership· Provide visual support material if appropriate·
Develop and maintain a global network of Shell resource personnel
Work with speakers, experts and Investor Relations in researching and drafting speeches·
Work with web team and Media Relations in publishing final versions of speeches· Crafting and editing of staff messages and notifications as well as content for internal and external channels (print and web)·
Assisting in editorial style for all written communications·
Editing internal and external publications such as Shell World Nigeria, company reports, content for calendars and diaries·
Managing appropriate contracts (printing of calendars, diaries, greeting cards etc.)

Job Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Social Sciences or related field·
8-10 years proven experience in speechwriting for senior leaders·
Excellent oral and written communication skills (detail-oriented)·
Good word-processing, internet, powerpoint skills are essential·
Mastery of the English language·
Ability to multi-task ·
High degree of enthusiasm and interest, as well as flexibility, creativity and goal-oriented

SPDC is currently involved in a multi-million dollar oil and gas project in the Niger Delta region with the objective of increasing production to help meet the world’s growing demand for energy. The Logistics Department is responsible for the provision of all land, air and marine logistic support to Shell Companies in Nigeria (SCiN).


Responsibilities:
Implement contract strategy for operate and maintain company owned heavy and light marine vessels and provision of heavy and light marine vessels.

Manage port operations at main SPDC jetty in the East and provide required supports at jetties in other Field Logistic Bases.

Draw up and implement IntegrityAssurance plan for marine vessels and facilities in the East.

Drive compliance to marine operational procedures,work instructions and HSSE standards to meet Goal Zero target.

Identify and implement continuous improvements in area of operation

Prepare and manage anual budget for Marine operation in the East.

Requirements:
Command and Shipboard Operations’ Experience as Master Mariner Class1
Working Knowledge of both local and international marine regulations and standards.

Oil & Gas working experience of at least 8 years

Good leadership skills

High proficiency in computer applications

Analytical skills

Good journey management skills
