Maersk Logistics is a recently established freight forwarding operation in Nigeria and as such is in the high growth phase of its operation. As a result of this Maersk Logistics is looking for a qualified and experienced Customer Service Executive to ensure the smooth process of receiving clients details/ cargo and delivery of same as well as ensure maximum satisfaction on the part of the customer.

The Position: Customer Service Executive –Maersk Logistics.

The Customer Service Executive will be responsible for attending to and executing all customers queries promptly, supervising and ensuring accuracy of the documentation process thereby delivering the best customer proposition to our customers.

Objectives/ Accountabilities:

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager- Maersk Logistics, the Customer Service Executive will be overall responsible for
• Attending to and executing all customers queries promptly
• Co-ordinating with internal departments/ desks within the Container Business (viz. refund and documentation) to ensure customers processes are attended to on time; Operations desks to coordinate product delivery
• Liaising with team members to ensure smooth running of all sections
• Making necessary improvements in required solution areas
• Maintaining and growing all existing accounts
• Generating more business from existing customers through regular communication and market updates
• Maintaining a good working environment

Other Areas of Responsibility:
• Supervising and ensuring accuracy of documentation processes e.g. invoices, payments, job files, deliveries and duty calculations before sending out to clients
• Supervising and ensuring accuracy of all documentation details sent to client (e.g. berthing details, rotation number and expected time of arrivals (ETAs)
• Operations Coordination:
- Obtaining details pertaining to container location and duty remittance from operations
- Ensuring adherence to seven (7) days delivery target for clients’ containers
• Sales: Liaise with sales to propose business leads
• Finance: Ensure that job costing files are properly closed and correspond with Improved Reliability Information System (IRIS)

JOB PROFILE/ REQUIREMENTS

• Acceptable level of Selling Skills
• Operational understanding of logistics activities pertaining to Customs House Brokerage(CHB) and Drayage business
• Capable of working proactively and independently
• Result and goal oriented
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• General shipping/ logistics knowledge is key!

The Position: Security Administrative Officer
This position is responsible for performance of all administrative functions within the security department, Safeguard of all security information and materials within APMTAL

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Running the security admin office.
• Issuance of radio, ID cards, documenting same and retrieval of same from all staff.
• Safe-keeping of all security documents for the entire department.
• Issuance of passes, badges and disk for short time visitors, contractors and others, and documentation.
• Retrieval of ID-cards and other security documents from dismissed or suspended Staff and documentation.
• Liaison with service providers for any repair work of security interest.
• Preparation and submission of payment vouchers for service provider.

CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
Degree in security or related discipline and membership of a professional security body

• 3-5 years proven industrial experience in a large/mid-level organization.
• Conversant with the International code for the security of ships and port facilities (ISPS code).
• Knowledge of security standards, including crime scene investigations, co-ordination of activities with local law enforcement, and general property protection
• Ex- military/paramilitary experience is an advantage
• Investigation / Report writing skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good decision-making and problem solving skills
• Valid Driver’s License

The Position: Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, this position is to coordinate and monitor the progress of APMTAL facility maintenance for optimal quality and effectiveness.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Supervises the maintenance of records and reports on work performed.
• Supervises subordinate personnel including: determining workload and delegating assignments, training, monitoring and evaluating performance, and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions.
• Receives and investigates emergency calls regarding facilities management.
• Ensures work is completed with optimal quality and cost considerations, log relevant information in the Work Order and hands over the Work Order to Maintenance Planners for closure when job is completed.
• Develops, evaluates, or reviews plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities; assesses feasibility of proposals and also responsible for maintenance of APMTAL facilities.

CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Facility Management and Development position from a recognized organization.
• Must have a degree in Engineering as a field of study.
• Successful candidates will be self-starters, possess strong analytical skills and enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary environment.

What are the Job responsibilities of a Superintendent?
As a Superintendent your objectives will be to:
Manage the overall rig operation on one of our 27 platforms.
Be responsible for the development of the crew onboard.
Maintain the health and safety environment and address on-site specific challenges.
Be responsible for supervision of maintenance, logistics and procurement processes.
Fast track programme
The first 12 months of the programme entails combined theoretical and on-the-job training. You will be familiarised with all aspects of the operation of a rig and get a broad exposure to the challenges and responsibilities as Superintendent.After the first part of the programme, you will advance to Assistant Superintendent and work directly under supervision of an experienced Superintendent in one of our shorebases. This final phase will provide you with the tools necessary to take up the challenge of managing one of our rigs.

Job/Programme Description
Maersk Drilling’ Special Driller Trainee Programme is a rare opportunity to start an international career in the offshore industry. The programme lasts approximately 14 months and consists of theoretical training at Maersk Training Centre and practical training on offshore units worldwide.

Job Requirements
License to drill
As a trainee, you will enter a programme that is aimed at training you to be a future leader within a few years. You will be part of an international work environment with exciting and challenging career opportunities.

How is the programme organised?
The programme consists of a series of modules. A module is either theoretical or practical. Theoretical courses are class-room based and located at our training centre in Svendborg. The practical modules take place on various offshore locations around the world. In these periods, you will be working under the supervision of senior staff that will help you and give you practical advice. By switching between different rigs, you will gain a broad knowledge base that will help you in your future work.
What does a Special Driller do?
Once the trainee programme is completed, you will be able to work as an Assistant Driller on one of our rigs. Within a few years, you will be able to advance to higher-level positions. We regard you as management potential and we will work closely with you in discussing your future career.
